I have a very limited number of available places coming up on a trip I’m running to Florence and Siena over the weekend of the 31st March, 1st and 2nd April.
The trip will consist of two days in Florence and one in Siena (about an hour and a half away by train). The focus will be on ‘hidden Florence’ – so no long walks through the crowded Uffizi or Accademia, but a look at the treasures in the city’s churches and chapels that are less frequently visited. The day in Siena will include a visit to the stunning cathedral (see image above) and Palazzo Pubblico to see Lorenzetti’s amazing frescoes of ‘Good and Bad Government’. In Florence, we will see works in situ by Giotto, Donatello, Michelangelo, Masaccio and many, many more.
If you’re interested please drop me a line at ben@benstreet.co.uk. As ever, the trip is for independent travellers, meaning you will organise your own accommodation and transport, but I will provide advice on both of these. The cost per person will be £300 for three full days of expert guiding.
